Buttercream (for filling and Icing)
**Butter cream (also known as butter icing or mock cream) is a type of icing used inside cakes, as a coating, and as decoration. In its simplest form, it is made by creaming butter with powdered sugar, although other fats can be used, such as margarine. Lavish Cakes uses the finest ingredients such as unsalted butter (not margarine) to produce a 'Swiss Meringue Buttercream". (lighter in sweetness and texture)**
Ganache
** A glaze made of chocolate and whipping cream used to coat cakes or desserts in a smooth, almost shiny, thin layer. It can also be beaten until fluffy and used as filling.**
Fondant (used to cover cakes, decorations etc.)
**Fondant comes from fondre, “to melt,” and is a soft creamy preparation of sugar, water, and flavoring. It is a sugar syrup crystallized to a smooth, creamy white mass. It is used for icing and decorating cakes. **
**Fondant can be mixed into any colour requested**
